Unlucky break for Steele There's never a good time to get an injury, but as the International break begins is as good as you can get.
Luke Steele has broken a finger and it appear he will be out for around a month, if not slightly longer.
Despite the results, Steele has been in terrific form in between the sticks and has made plenty of excellent saves, but it will be David Preece in goals when a new manager takes over at the helm.
David Preece will no doubt be ;looking to make the most of his opportunity and with a new manager to catch the eye of it could be a worrying time for Barnsley number one keeper while he watches from the sidelines.
It will also present the new boss with an immediate issue - should he get a loan keeper for a month. With only Tom Ruslin, the Academy goalkeeper at the club it leaves Barnsley vulnerable should Preece get an injury.
