Breaking News: Davey leaves Barnsley

Simon Davey has left Barnsley Football Club tonight by mutual consent.

After a run of indifferent results in the league that has left Barnsley rock bottom of the Championship.

The match today had started well but once Reading got a hold of the game Barnsley could not keep up and Davey's fate was sealed with the final whistle.

It marks an end to his reign of 138 games, winning just 45 and losing 63.

Barnsley will begin the process to search for a new manager.
