Early Reds team news for Carling Cup Barnsley look to be with Bobby Hassell who said something popped in his achilles. They are waiting to see extent of injury this morning with a scan, but the manager says he looks very doubtful at the moment.
Daniel Bogdanovic has come back from Malta after his mum's heart bypass operation following a heart-attack and will travel down to Reading today with the team.
It is possible that Hugo Colace will train for the first time since injury with the team and Davey will assess his fitness. He will be tempted to throw him straight in and put some pressure on the other senior players you are under par.
Davey will mostly play a back four of Rob Kozluk at right back, El Haimour at left back with Foster and Moore in the centre and have just Luke Potter for cover.
Andy Gray is cup-tied having already played for Charlton in the first round of the Carling Cup.
