Andy Gray finally makes it to Barnsley The protracted transfer of Andy Gray has finally materialised and now SImon Davey has all his players in with just O'Neil Thompson awaiting a work permit.
The original deal was done so long ago he should have been the first of Barnsley's summer transfers, but with the on/off takeover at Charlton it has dragged on.
Barnsley boss, Simon Davey, will now be able to hand a double debut against Leicester City for both Andy Gray and Emil Hallfredsson.
Gray has scored twice at Leicester's ground when he was playing for Burnley and he will be hoping to make it a hat-trick on Saturday.
Simon Davey, who told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "I am absolutely delighted to have finally brought Andy into the Club and it is the one deal we have been waiting for.
"It has taken a while to complete through no fault of ours but all that is finished and Andy is now in with the squad and we cannot wait to begin working with him.
"Andy is a proven striker at Championship level and will bring a lot of experience and hopefully goals to compliment the forward players we have at the Club already. Andy brings something a little different and will make us a more potent attacking threat this season."
