Campbell-Ryce off to the States Jamal Campbell-Ryce is expected to go to the Cayman Islands to join his Jamaican team mates ahead of the Gold Cup.
The competition runs from Friday 3rd July until Sunday 26th July which could mean he misses a significant proportion of preseason training.
The CONCACAF Gold Cup features 12 team:
Jamaica play Canada on Friday 3rd July in Los Angeles in the opening game of the tournament. They then play four days later and 2,250 miles away on the 7th July against Costa Rica in Columbus, Ohio and the final group game is on 10th July against El Salvador in Miami, another 1,155 miles traveling.
It would be expected that they will qualify for the quarter finals which take place on 18/19 July in Philadelphia and Arlington. That means another 1,100 miles traveling.
The semi finals take place on the 23rd July a mere 700 miles further on and the final will be on Sunday 26th July in New York, another 700 miles away.
Added to the fact they will be in the Cayman Island before that, Jamal will have a hard time keeping up with all the time zones he crosses by the time he hits English soil again.
