Oakwell Juniors win again
Written by Editor on Wednesday 29th April 2009

Oakwell Juniors 7 - 1 Rotherham Phoenix

Due to illness and no recognised goalkeeper Oakwell could only field 10 men for their game against Rotherham.

Oakwell had all of the possession, but could not find the net until five minutes before the break when Jack Hoyle put a great ball through for Alex Johnson to slot it under the advancing keeper.

After the break Oakwell raised their game scoring two very quick goals through Jordan Painter and Conor Phillips.

The makeshift goalkeeper for Oakwell did not have much to do throughout the game as Oakwell Juniors dominated proceedings through further strikes from Painter, Johnson and Shaw.

Jack Hoyle scored the seventh goal with a thunderous left foot volley.

Oakwell are still on course to win the league with three games remaining, needing to win two to be crowned champions.
