"Football is a very cruel game. We deserved all three points from that tonight.

"I have not seen the penalty again so I cannot comment really on the replay. The referee has not given it and he was standing right in front of it but yet again we have had a busy linesman.

"I know I have a player in the dressing room with a red mark on his ribs from where the ball hit him and he is adamant it did not strike his hand. If it did it was certainly not intentional.

"That is what happens when you are up against it and fighting for your lives. When you are fighting for points those decisions go like that.

"We have to fight on and not let what happened here effect us. We have to go and get ready for Saturday.

"It could be a costly decision but we have two matches left to put it right.

"It was a good performance. We were dogged and we passed the ball well. We deserved the three points.

"I will be having a chat with the referee and will ask him why he chose to give that decision especially after he had made a different one.

"We all did our jobs. That's all we can ask of them and every point matters. It will be a bit up and down through to the end of the season but I did not see that coming."
