Barnsley signed striker Daniel Bogdanovic from Lokomotiv Sofia for an undisclosed fee in January 2009.
The deal will keep him at Oakwell until the summer of 2010.
Born in Lybia, Daniel started his professional career with Sliema Wanderers and enjoyed spells with Vasas SC, Naxxae Lions, Valetta and Cherno More before returning to Sliema in 2005. His ten goals in 22 appearances for Sliema caught the eye of Marsaxlokk and he made the move across Malta the following year.
Daniel helped Marsaxlokk lift the Maltese title in 2006/2007, hitting an amazing 31 goals in 31 games along the way. He was named Maltese Player of the Year in 2007 before moving to Italian football with Cisco Roma, where he hit 4 goals in 15 games.
The 28 year old striker signed for Lokomotiv Sofia in 2008. He has won 25 caps for the Maltese national side, where his is Michael Mifsud's striking partner. |
